    Project Background

    This logistics center, located in Saudi Arabia, is a crucial hub for a world-leading logistics company, serving as a major center for transportation and distribution both in the region and internationally.

    The forklift at the logistics center is model Linde R16 HD,designed for heavy-duty material handling in tough industrial environments. The forklifts are used in cold storage warehouses and were previously powered by lead-acid batteries. The warehouse manager gradually realized that their forklifts were dragging them behind due to low work effifiency, for below reasons: 

     1.  When charging the lead-acid battery, the user have to remove it from the forklift and charge it at a designated charging station. This means each forklift needs two sets of batteries to support high-frequency operation. 

     2.  The charging efficiency of lead-acid batteries is low, requiring 6-8 hours of continuous charging time.

     3.  Lead-acid batteries require frequent and complex maintenance to ensure safety and performance, which results in high maintenance costs.

     4.  There is no intelligent battery management platform for lead-acid battery power system. It's hard to monitor the battery condition and predict potentional problems.

    To address the problems the client encountered, Vision offered a forklift motive power system powered by advanced lithium batteries to replace the old lead-acid power system.
